Attack of the Dogzilla!

Hello there, Maxwell Fischer here. Sorry for the delay between posts, but it's been a busy fall and Mary Beth has had the MacBook tied up for awhile...

First thing's first, Halloween was this weekend and I dressed up for the first time (not counting my elf hat the last two Christmases). I was a dinosaur, or a dogzilla, according to the costume makers. I had no input into the costume choice, rather Mary Beth put a lot of hours of online dog costume research into the decision and took a poll of our friends. The costume went over well and Belle even got a matching "cathat" to go along with the theme! Halloween was fun, but I'm glad I don't have to wear the costume for another year - the head piece is a bit restricting.

In other news, I continue to get comments from strangers about my extreme "fluffiness" in comparison to other Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. Mary Beth and I do not know how to answer people who ask why I am so much hairier than my relatives. MB's theory is that it has something to do with me being from Texas and over accommodating for the colder weather here. I think it is more likely do to the fact that she only brushes me a couple times a week instead of everyday (but I'm not complaining about that!).

Since I last posted Mary Beth visited DC again, Will visited Cambridge, and so did Dave, Mary Beth's dad, over Columbus Day weekend. I like both of these guys quite a bit because they endorse taking me on long walks and let me run around at the park. When Mary Beth and Dave left Cambridge for a few days to go leaf peeping in NH, Vermont and Maine, I got to stay with Jarrett and Danielle. They are one of my new favorite places to stay in Boston! I got to see Brighton and Jamaica Plain, which I had never been to before. I was spoiled there and loved every second of it. Maybe I will get to go back there another time for a visit.

In a couple weekends I will be staying with Liz and Katherine (she petsat for Belle and me before at our home) when MB goes to Durham for Will's formal. Liz is a professional dogwalker and Katherine is a masseuse by trade so it should be a great vacay! I look forward to getting to meet some of Liz's other dog clients if she says it's ok for me to join them.

Bye for now!
